BASIC PISTOL

This course was designed with the parent “Guardian” in mind and created for the “first-time gun owner.” If you own a pistol and are intimidated or afraid to go the range, this course was designed for you.

This is not a tactical shooting course. You should not carry a pistol “EDC” until you have completed this course.

This course is solely focused on teaching you pistol basics:

• Nomenclature of firearms

• Instilling confidence

• Proper handling on and off the range

• Firearm Safety

• Range Safety

• Cleaning, maintenance, and care

• Loading and unloading

• Fundamentals of grip and marksmanship

• Malfunctions and remedies

• The moral obligation, personal responsibility, and legal obligation of carrying and using a firearm in self-defense and legal insurance

The bottom line is that you will shoot a lot of rounds and increase your confidence between you and your pistol. If you do not have a pistol, one may be provided with advanced planning.
